Spezia were held to 1-1 draw by Inter down on Wednesday at the Stadio Alberto Picco. Spezia arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 4-1 to Bologna. Inter, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As it stands, Spezia and Inter are 15th, (33 points) and 1st, (76 points), in the league respectively, after 32 matches.

Spezia dominated the first half, with a goal from Diego Farias in the 12th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Ivan Perisic equalised for Inter, on 39 minutes, finalising the first half 1-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For Spezia, Luca Vignali, Andrey Galabinov, Cristian Dell`Orco, Emmanuel Gyasi and Leo Sena, came on for Ivan Perisic and Christian Eriksen. Inter replaced Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez with Ivan Perisic and Christian Eriksen.

The referee booked Riccardo Marchizza and Nahuel Estevez for Spezia.
