Crotone on away loss to Spezia at the Stadio Alberto Picco on Saturday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Spezia were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 2-1 to Lazio. Crotone, on the other hand, had lost their previous match against Napoli. As it stands, Spezia are in 16th place, with 29 points from 30 matches, while Crotone sit in 20th, with 15 points from 30.
Crotone started the game well, with Koffi Djidji giving Crotone the lead just before half-time and the first half ended 0-1.
Spezia continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Daniele Verde finding the net, 63 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and Crotone then found the back of the net, on 78 minutes thanks to Simeon Nwankwo, taking the score to 2-1. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Giulio Maggiore managed to equalize and take the sides off, on 90 minutes at 2-2. Spezia then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Martin Erlic just before the final whistle to make it 3-2.
For Spezia, Diego Farias, Leo Sena, Kevin Agudelo, Luca Vignali and Andrey Galabinov, came on for Ahmad Benali, Salvatore Molina and Adam Ounas. Crotone brought on Lisandro Magallan, Niccolo Zanellato and Samuel Di Carmine, to replace Ahmad Benali, Salvatore Molina and Adam Ounas.
