Seattle 1 – Kansas 2: Wizards get valuable away win at CenturyLink Field

Sporting Kansas City snatched all three points from Seattle Sounders in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, at CenturyLink Field. After today’s result, Seattle and Kansas currently occupy 1st and 2nd spots in the league, with 58 points and 55 points respectively after 42 matches.

Wizards started the game well, thanks to an early goal from Walter in the 4th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.

Seattle took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Benezet in the 58th minute. In the end though, Kansas, 79 minutes in took the victory following a Russell goal and seeing the game end 2-1.

For Seattle, Tolo, Atencio, Leo Chú and Montero, came on for Medranda, Benezet, Arreaga and O’Neill.

There were bookings for Paulo, Rowe, Roldan, Gómez and Montero from Seattle, and Melia, Kinda and Espinoza, for Kansas.
