Seattle 0 v RSL 0 – Dead-lock after extra time, so penalties take RSL through on the night

RSL qualify for the MLS Playoffs after winning the penalty shootout against Seattle this Tuesday.

This victory now sees them advance to the next stage of the competition, an important step to get the title. It was a goalless match for any team that lasted beyond the regulatory 120 minutes. Finally, the winner on penalties was RSL (5) – (6).

For Seattle, Ruidíaz, Roldan, Atencio and Lodeiro, came on for Montero, Benezet, Smith and Morris. RSL brought on Meram, Wood, Julio and Morgan, to replace Menéndez, Méndez, Chang and Brody.

There were bookings for Benezet and Ruidíaz from Seattle. For RSL, Ochoa, Everton and Glad saw yellow.
