Seattle 1 – Galaxy 1: Home advantage cancelled out by visitors

On Tuesday, Seattle and Galaxy were held to a 1-1 draw at CenturyLink Field. Following today’s result, Seattle are in 1st place on the table and has 59 points while Galaxy sit in 7th with 47 points after 45 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Galaxy, thanks to Chicharito giving Galaxy the lead, at 19 minutes, finalising the first half 0-1.

The Sounders started the second half with an intensified spirit, with an early penalty goal from Ruidíaz in the 50th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For Seattle, O’Neill, Morris, Benezet and Montero, came on for Tolo, Ruidíaz, Smith and Lodeiro. Galaxy brought on Grandsir, Víctor Vázquez, Klještan and Steres, to replace Alvarez, Lletget, Dos Santos and Chicharito.

There were bookings for Rowe from Seattle. For Galaxy, Bond, Grandsir and Steres saw yellow.

Seattle will next travel to Vancouver Whitecaps, while Galaxy will face Minnesota United at home.
