Seattle Sounders snatched all three points from Colorado Rapids in a 3-0 victory on Monday, at CenturyLink Field. As the table looks today, Seattle are currently 1st with 54 points from 38 matches, while COLO sit in 3rd, with 48 points from 38.
Seattle started the first half well, with an early goal from Roldan in the 2nd minute. The Sounders looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Medranda at the 22 minute mark to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Paulo made it 3-0 just before half-time to see out the first half 3-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 3-0.
For Seattle, Leo Chú, Rowe, O’Neill, Abdoulaye Cissoko and Leyva, came on for Montero, Paulo, Medranda, Arreaga and Roldan. COLO brought on Rubio, Lucas Esteves, Mezquida, Namli and Bassett, to replace Shinyashiki, Wilson, Galván, Barrios and Rosenberry.
