Seattle 2 – RSL 1- Visitors unable to get win at CenturyLink Field

Seattle Sounders beat Real Salt Lake with a thumping 2-1 victory on Thursday at CenturyLink Field. As the table looks today, Seattle and RSL currently occupy 1st and 7th spots in the table, with 24 points and 12 points respectively after 13 matches.

After an un-eventful first half,

Seattle applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Roldan finding the net at the 58 minute mark. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Rusnák managed to equalize and take the sides off in the 79th minute at 1-1. The Sounders in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Ruidíaz, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Seattle, Smith, Atencio, Montero and Leyva, came on for Medranda, Rowe, Bruin and Ruidíaz. RSL brought on Ruiz, Wood, Toia and Julio, to replace Nick Besler, Everton, Brody and Meram.

There were bookings for Ruidíaz from Seattle. For RSL, Everton, Ochoa and Ruiz saw yellow.
