Seattle Sounders snatched all three points from Los Angeles FC in a 2-0 victory on Monday, at CenturyLink Field. As things stand, Seattle and Los Angeles currently occupy 1st and 13th spots in the table, with 16 points and 5 points respectively after 8 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Seattle piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Arreaga at the 57 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Smith made it 2-0 in the 73rd minute to make it 2-0.

For Seattle, Leyva, O’Neill, Montero and Reed Baker-Whiting, came on for Rowe, Smith, Bruin and Paulo. Los Angeles brought on Danny Musovski, Vela, Moon Hwan Kim and Palacios, to replace Cifuentes, Baird, Blackmon and Farfan.

There were bookings for Paulo and Gómez from Seattle, and Murillo, for Los Angeles.

Seattle next face Atlanta United and Los Angeles are at home to Colorado Rapids.
