Seattle Sounders – Atlanta United: Honours even and points shared at CenturyLink Field

On Sunday, Seattle and Atlanta were held to a 1-1 draw at CenturyLink Field. After today’s result, Seattle and Atlanta sit 1st, (17 points) and 3rd, (9 points), spots respectively, after 9 matches.

It was an impressive opening from The Sounders, with Ruidíaz giving Seattle the lead early in the first half, seeing out the first half 1-0.

Atlanta took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Martinez just before the final whistle. The final result, Seattle 1, Atlanta 1.

For Seattle, Leyva and Montero, came on for Bruin and Rowe. Atlanta brought on Mulraney, Rossetto and Torres, to replace López, Martinez and Hyndman.

There were bookings for Tolo, Arreaga and Roldan from Seattle, and López, Hyndman, Rossetto and Franco Ibarra, for Atlanta.

Seattle next face Austin and Atlanta are at home to Nashville SC.
