San Jose were held to 1-1 draw by Caps down on Sunday at Avaya Stadium. Following today’s result, San Jose and Caps currently occupy 10th and 7th spots in the table, with 37 points and 44 points respectively after 42 matches.
Following a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Caps who started the second half well, with Bruno Gaspar finding the net, at 53 minutes. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Benjamin Kikanovic equalised for San Jose at the 60 minute mark. The final result, San Jose 1, Caps 1.
For San Jose, Salinas, Fierro, Wondolowski, Jack Skahan and Cowell, came on for Thompson, Espinoza, Chofis Lopez, Marie and Rios. Caps replaced Baldisimo, Cavallini, Brown, Raposo and Jakob Nerwinski with Owusu, Caicedo, Dájome, Gauld and Godoy.
The referee booked Thompson for San Jose.
