San Jose 2 – Los Angeles 0- Quakes get hard fought win over The Black and Gold

San Jose beats Los Angeles FC 2-0 on Sunday at Avaya Stadium. As the table looks today, both teams are on 33 points and sit in 10th and 8th places respectively after 35 matches.

San Jose started well, thanks to an early goal from Benjamin Kikanovic in the 3rd minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Chofis Lopez made it 2-0 just before half-time. The score at half time was 2-0. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For San Jose, Thompson, Salinas, Cowell and Wondolowski, came on for Espinoza, Chofis Lopez, López and Benjamin Kikanovic. Los Angeles brought on Farfan, Edwards, Bryce Duke and Blessing, to replace Ibeagha, Palacios, Danny Musovski and Kim Moon-Hwan.

There were bookings for Nathan Pelae, Espinoza, Abecasis and López from San Jose, and Crisostomo and Cifuentes, for Los Angeles.
