San Jose staged a comeback in the second half, with a goal from Benjamin Kikanovic, at 53 minutes. The momentum was now with Quakes, who then scored again through a goal from Wondolowski, 59 minutes in to establish a 3-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Fierro made it 4-0 just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-0.
