Napoli snatched all three points from Sampdoria in a 2-0 victory on Sunday, at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Sampdoria arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against AC Milan while Napoli were coming from consecutive wins against Crotone and Roma. After today’s result, Sampdoria and Napoli currently occupy 10th and 4th spots in the table, with 36 points and 59 points respectively after 30 matches.
Napoli started the game well, thanks to a goal from Fabian Ruiz, 35 minutes in to see out the first half 0-1.
The Blues continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Victor Osimhen finding the net just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
For Sampdoria, Keita Balde, Valerio Verre and Mehdi Leris, came on for Matteo Politano, Piotr Zielinski, Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz. Napoli brought on Hirving Lozano, Dries Mertens, Eljif Elmas and Tiemoue Bakayoko, to replace Matteo Politano, Piotr Zielinski, Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz.
