On Thursday, Roma and Atalanta were held to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olympico. Roma were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 3-1 to Torino while Atalanta were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Juventus and Fiorentina. As the table looks today, Roma and Atalanta are 7th, (55 points) and 4th, (65 points), spots respectively, after 32 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Atalanta, with Ruslan Malinovskyi finding the net in the 26th minute to see out the first half 0-1.
Giallorossi took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Bryan Cristante finding the net after 75 minutes. The final result, Roma 1, Atalanta 1.
Roma brought on Bruno Peres, Carles Perez and Borja Mayoral for Riccardo Calafiori, Gonzalo Villar and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Atalanta brought on Luis Muriel, Mario Pasalic and Rafael Toloi, to replace Josip Ilicic, Ruslan Malinovskyi and Duvan Zapata.
Roma and Atalanta played a tough game where the referee sanctioned Roma with yellow cards to Riccardo Calafiori, Gonzalo Villar and Roger Ibanez and with red card to Roger Ibanez (2 yellow cards), while from Atalanta Robin Gosens were booked and red to Robin Gosens (2 yellow cards).
