RSL 2 – Houston 1: Home win for Claret and Cobalt as they ease paste Orange Crush

Houston Dynamo on away loss to RSL at Rio Tinto Stadium on Thursday. Following today’s result, RSL are in 5th place, with 27 points from 27 matches, while Houston sit in 12th, with 18 points from 27.

Claret and Cobalt started strongly in the first half, with Meram giving RSL the lead after only 6 minutes, seeing out the first half 1-0.

Houston staged a comeback in the second half, thanks to Picault finding the net after 51 minutes. RSL in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Julio, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For RSL, Méndez, Nick Besler, Ruiz, Chang and Julio, came on for Wood, Menéndez, Everton, Datković and Meram. Houston brought on Maxi Urruti, Boniek García, Figueroa and Corona, to replace Lassiter, Carrasquilla, Dorsey and Vera.

The referee booked Kreilach and Rusnák for RSL.

RSL will next play Colorado Rapids away, with Houston facing FC Dallas at home.
