RSL 3 – Dallas 2: Visitors unable to get win at Rio Tinto Stadium

Real Salt Lake snatched all three points from FC Dallas in a 3-2 victory on Sunday, at Rio Tinto Stadium. As it stands, RSL are currently 6th with 30 points from 30 matches, while Dallas sit in 11th, with 25 points from 30.

Dallas started the game well, thanks to a goal from Jara in the 19th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Glad equalised for RSL just before half-time. The first half ended 1-1.

RSL started the second half with an intensified spirit, with Menéndez finding the net at the 53 minute mark. Claret and Cobalt looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Rusnák, at 72 minutes to establish a 3-1. In the end though, Dallas pull-back at the 80 minute mark, with a goal from Jesús Ferreira. The game ended with a 3-2 victory for RSL.

For RSL, Chang, Nick Besler and Julio, came on for Menéndez, Ruiz and Méndez. Dallas brought on Elmedkhar, Quignon, Che, Ricaurte and Eddie Munjoma, to replace Pomykal, Hollingshead, Servania, Cerrillo and Twumasi.

There were bookings for Herrera and Rusnák from RSL, and Obrián and Burgess, for Dallas.
