RSL 1 – Houston 1- Victory elusive at Rio Tinto Stadium for both sides

RSL were held to 1-1 draw by Houston down on Sunday at Rio Tinto Stadium. As the table looks today, RSL and Houston currently occupy 6th and 5th spots in the league, with 13 points and 14 points respectively after 13 matches.

Claret and Cobalt started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Glad giving RSL the lead, 11 minutes in and the first half ended 1-0.

Houston started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Maxi Urruti at the 53 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For RSL, Julio, Wood, Meram and Brody, came on for Chang, Méndez, Herrera and Nick Besler. Houston brought on Cerén, Boniek García, Lassiter, Quintero and Figueroa, to replace Vera, Corona, Pasher, Maxi Urruti and Memo Rodríguez.

The referee booked Vera, Maxi Urruti and Cerén for Houston.
