Portland 1 – Inter 0: Home win for The Timbers as they ease paste The Herons

Portland Timbers defeat Inter Miami 1-0 on Monday at Providence Park. As the table looks today, Portland and Inter sit 4th, (46 points) and 10th, (32 points), spots respectively, after 37 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Portland applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Niezgoda giving The Timbers the lead, at 83 minutes, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Portland, Blanco, Paredes, Niezgoda and Moreno, came on for Loria, Fochive, Asprilla and Chará. Inter brought on Leerdam, Matuidi, Carranza, Higuaín and Vassilev, to replace Figal, Chapman, Robinson, Pizarro and Gregore.

There were bookings for Chará and Chará from Portland. For Inter, Figal saw yellow.
