Portland Timbers 3-0 FC Austin: Heavy Loss For Los Verdes At Providence Park

Portland Timbers defeat Austin 3-0 on Monday at Providence Park. This left, Portland are in 4th place on the table and has 55 points while Austin sit in 12th with 31 points after 46 matches.

Portland started the first half well, with Paredes opening the rout in the 17th minute. Portland then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Niezgoda just before half-time, finalising the first half 2-0.

The Timbers started the second half with an intensified spirit, with Blanco finding the net in the 53rd minute, leaving the final score at 3-0.

For Portland, Mcgraw, Valeri, Asprilla, Loria and Zambrano, came on for Mabiala, Moreno, Niezgoda, Chará and Paredes. Austin replaced Djitte, Pochettino, Sebastian Berhalter, Stroud and Kolmanic for Domínguez, Manneh, Kleemann, Wolff and Stanley.

The referee booked Sebastian Berhalter for Austin.
