Portland Timbers cruise past LA Galaxy 3-0 on Saturday at Providence Park. Following today’s result, Portland are in 6th place, with 9 points from 8 matches, while Galaxy sit in 2nd, with 12 points from 8.

Portland started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Mora opening the rout just before half-time

The Timbers continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Mora finding the net again, 60 minutes in. Portland then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Valeri in the 69th minute with a final score of 3-0.

For Portland, Mora, Loria, Zambrano, Mcgraw and Bodily, came on for Polo, Asprilla, Chará, Valeri and Ebobisse. Galaxy brought on Klještan, Nick Depuy, Zubak, Dunbar and Saldana, to replace Grandsir, Alvarez, Cabral, Dos Santos and Lletget.

Williams saw the red card, for Galaxy.
