Union 3 – Orlando 1: Visitors unable to get win at Subaru Park

Orlando City on away loss to Union at Subaru Park on Sunday. As the table looks today, Union and Orlando currently occupy 7th and 4th spots in the table, with 35 points and 38 points respectively after 34 matches.

Union started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Wagner finding the net at the 39 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Orlando took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Ruan, 57 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and Union then found the back of the net, 61 minutes in thanks to Przybyłko, taking the score to 2-1. Union then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a penalty second effort from Przybyłko just before the final whistle to make it 3-1.

Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Union, Gazdag and Santos, came on for Burke and Bedoya, Orlando brought on R. Aguilera Jr., Daryl Dike, Moutinho and Van De Water, to replace Joey Dezart, Akindele, Smith and Schlegel.

The referee booked Leon Flach from Union. Orlando had the worst of it though, with Schlegel, Ruan, Michel, Gallese, Jansson and R. Aguilera Jr. seeing yellow, and Antônio Carlos then sent off with a red.

Union will play at home against Atlanta United, while Orlando will face New England Revolution away.
