Union 1 – Nashville 1-Nashville overcome Union after Conference Semifinals penalties

Union is done with square the final after beat this Monday at Subaru Park to the Union by a score of 1-1.

The MLS’ Conference Semifinals ended with a win against Nashville after penalties at the stadium Union. After 90 minutes of play and extra time, the referee had to extend the duel to penalties. A decision that ended in a tough battle between both teams to continue in the playoffs.

Nashville started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Mukhtar in the 39th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Gazdag equalised for Union just before half-time, which brought Jim Curtin’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break Both teams struggled to produce anything in the second half and the game ended 1-1. Finally, penalties gave the Philadelphia team victory (2) – (0).

For Union, Santos, came on for Leon Flach.

The referee booked Leal for Nashville.

This victory will please Union to maintain this winning form as they advance in the competition, whilst Nashville must now wait another season to try again.
