Union 1 – MON 1: Home advantage cancelled out by visitors

On Sunday, Union and MON were held to a 1-1 draw at Subaru Park. As the table looks today, Union are in 4th place on the table and has 32 points while MON sit in 6th with 28 points after 28 matches.

MON started strongly in the first half, thanks to Mihailovic giving MON the lead just before half-time, ending the first half 0-1.

Union took the initiative in the second half, with Sullivan finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

For Union, Bedoya, Przybyłko, Jack Mcglynn and Sullivan, came on for Burke, Gazdag, Leon Flach and Mbaizo. MON brought on Bassong, Ahmed Hamdi, Maciel, Ibrahim and Kizza, to replace Choiniere, Johnsen, Wanyama, Torres and Struna.

There were bookings for Mbaizo and Jamiro Monteiro from Union, and Choiniere, Kamal Miller, Breza and Kizza, for MON.

Union will next play D.C. United away, with MON facing Toronto FC at home.
