Columbus Crew on away loss to Union at Subaru Park on Sunday. As the table looks today, Union are in 3rd place, with 42 points from 38 matches, while Columbus sit in 10th, with 34 points from 38.
Union started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Elliott opening the rout, 25 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Bedoya made it 2-0 just before half-time, finalising the first half 2-0.
Union continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Leon Flach finding the net just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 3-0.
For Union, Sullivan, Findlay, Harriel and Bueno, came on for Gazdag, Santos, Powell and Bedoya. Columbus brought on Etienne, Díaz, Fraser, Abdul-Salaam and Miguel Berry, to replace Valenzuela, Keita, Hairston, Moreira and Pedro Santos.
The referee booked five players. Wagner, Powell and Santos from Union, who saw yellow cards and Wagner (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for Columbus Pedro Santos received yellows.
