Union 1 – Columbus 0- Visitors unable to get win at Subaru Park

Philadelphia Union’s 1-0 win over Columbus Crew on Thursday, was hard fought at Subaru Park. As the table looks today, Union are in 3rd place, with 18 points from 12 matches, while Columbus sit in 5th, with 14 points from 12.

Union started the first half well, thanks to Jamiro Monteiro finding the net at the 25 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Union, Santos, Real, Sullivan and Powell, came on for Burke, Jack Mcglynn, Bedoya and Mbaizo. Columbus brought on Zelarayán, Valenzuela, Francis and Parente, to replace Molino, Matan, Fraser and Etienne.

There were bookings for Real and Leon Flach from Union, and Matan and Wormgoor, for Columbus.
