Orlando 5 – San Jose 0- The Lions prevail in a 5 goal thriller at home

San Jose fell to an away defeat at the hands of Orlando City at Exploria Stadium on Wednesday. As the table looks today, Orlando are currently 2nd with 18 points from 12 matches, while San Jose sit in 8th, with 10 points from 12.

Orlando didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Nani opening the rout after only 7 minutes. The Lions looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Michel at the 16 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Orlando then netted again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Daryl Dike in the 31st minute. The score at half time was 3-0.

Orlando staged a comeback in the second half, with an early 2nd effort from Daryl Dike in the 49th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Michel made it 5-0 just before the final whistle with a final score of 5-0.

For Orlando, Halliday, Pereyra, Akindele, Alvarado and Rosell, came on for Moutinho, Júnior Urso, Daryl Dike, Nani and Mueller. San Jose brought on Cowell, Salinas, Abecasis and Tanner Beason, to replace Jungwirth, Marie, Thompson and López.

The referee booked Judson and Alanís for San Jose.
