NYC 1 – Chicago 0: One goal makes difference for The Pigeons at home

New York’s 1-0 win over Chicago Fire on Thursday, was hard fought at Yankee Stadium. As it stands, NYC are in 4th place, with 47 points from 43 matches, while Chicago sit in 12th, with 34 points from 43.

After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on NYC who started the second half well, thanks to a goal from Castellanos at the 51 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.

For NYC, Medina, Zelalem and Andres Jasson, came on for Andrade, Parks and Rodríguez. Chicago brought on Kappelhof, Offor, Gutierrez, Espinoza and Stojanović, to replace Pineda, Berić, Herbers, Sekulić and Giménez.

There were bookings for Castellanos from NYC. For Chicago, Pineda saw yellow.

NYC will next travel to Inter Miami, while Chicago will face New England Revolution at home.
