Red Bulls 1 – NYC 0: Metro see off visitors at Red Bull Arena

New York Red Bulls strolled past New York with a 1-0 win on Sunday at Red Bull Arena. After today’s result, both teams are on 40 points and sit in 9th and 8th places respectively after 40 matches.

Red Bulls started the first half well, thanks to an early goal from Cásseres in the 3rd minute, seeing out the first half 1-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Red Bulls, Carmona, Klimala and Diarra, came on for Fernandez, Fábio Gomez and Yearwood. NYC brought on Andrade, Andres Jasson, Heber and Amundsen, to replace Medina, Gray, Rodríguez and Thórarinsson.

There were bookings for Nealis and Davis from Red Bulls, and Chanot and Amundsen, for NYC.

Red Bulls will play their next fixture away against Columbus Crew, while NYC will face D.C. United at home.
