NYC 2 – D.C. 1: Black-and-Red unable to avoid away defeat

On Monday, D.C. United suffer an away defeat to New York at Yankee Stadium. As the table looks today, NYC are in 4th place on the table and has 17 points while D.C. sit in 9th with 13 points after 14 matches.

D.C. started the first half well, thanks to Robertha giving Black-and-Red the lead, 9 minutes in to see out the first half 0-1.

NYC continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Parks in the 85th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Andrade just before the final whistle to make it 2-1.

For NYC, Andrade, Parks, Rodríguez and Talles Magno, came on for Medina, Morales, Ismael Tajouri and Castellanos. D.C. brought on Felipe Martins, Najar, Paredes, Perez and Alfaro, to replace Nyeman, Hines-Ike, Asad, Mora and Brillant.

The referee booked three players from D.C., Mora, Robertha and Najar.
