NYC 1 – Atlanta 0: Victory denied for visitors as The Pigeons win

New York defeat Atlanta United 1-0 on Thursday at Yankee Stadium. After today’s result, NYC are in 4th place on the table and has 14 points while Atlanta sit in 9th with 11 points after 12 matches.

After a goalless first half,

The Pigeons applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ismael Tajouri giving NYC the lead, 70 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For NYC, Moralez, Tinnerholm, Morales, Amundsen and Ibeagha, came on for Andres Jasson, Gray, Ismael Tajouri, Thórarinsson and Castellanos. Atlanta brought on Torres, Damm and Adams for López, Franco Ibarra and Mulraney.
