New England Revolution ease to a comfortable 4-1 win at Gillette Stadium. As the table looks today, Revs are in 1st place, with 49 points from 28 matches, while Cin sit in 13th, with 17 points from 28.
Revs started the first half well, with Buchanan opening the rout early in the first half. The momentum was now with Revs, who then scored again through a goal from Boateng at the 21 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Revs then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Buksa, at 33 minutes, which saw the first half end 3-0.
Cin started the second half with an intensified spirit, with a goal from Brenner, at 55 minutes. In the end though, Revs secured the points emphatically, with a 2nd effort from Buksa at the 61 minute mark, which sealed the victory for Revs.
For Revs, Maciel, Damian Rivera, Bunbury, Kaptoum and Rennicks, came on for Caldwell, Boateng, Buchanan, Mcnamara and Buksa. Cin replaced Vallecilla, Brenner, Acosta, Barreal and Cameron for Stanko, Atanga, Vázquez, Duvall and Mokotjo.
The referee booked Mcnamara, Buchanan and Farrell for Revs.
Cin and Revs will next play away to Columbus Crew and New York respectively.
