New England Revolution strolled past New York Red Bulls with a 3-1 win on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. After today’s result, Revs are in 1st place on the table and has 14 points while Red Bulls sit in 10th with 6 points after 8 matches.

Metro dominated the first half, with Andrés Reyes giving Red Bulls the lead, 8 minutes in. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Bou in the 37th minute, brought Revs level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Buchanan just before half-time, finishing the first half 2-1.

Revs continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Buksa at the 83 minute mark. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 3-1 to Revs.

For Revs, Buksa, Mcnamara, Bunbury and Edward Kizza, came on for Traustason, Kaptoum, Buchanan and Bou. Red Bulls brought on Klimala, Fernandez, Harper, John Tolkin and Barlow, to replace Fabio Gomez, Amaya, Clark, Harper and Royer.

Revs will next travel to Cincinnati, while Red Bulls will face Orlando City at home.
