Nashville 2 – Orlando 2: Plenty of goals but no win at Nissan Stadium

Nashville were held to 2-2 draw by Orlando down on Thursday at Nissan Stadium. Following today’s result, Nashville are in 2nd place, with 46 points from 37 matches, while Orlando sit in 7th, with 39 points from 37.

It was an impressive opening from Nashville, thanks to Mukhtar giving Nashville the lead, 11 minutes in. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Nashville took the lead in the second half, with Leal finding the net at the 59 minute mark. However, Orlando weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Daryl Dike, 76 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a calamitous own goal from Tah Anunga just before the final whistle to make it 2-2.

For Nashville, Muyl, Tah Anunga, Cádiz and Aké Loba, came on for Leal, Godoy, Sapong and Mukhtar. Orlando brought on Michel, Nani, Akindele, Smith and Mas, to replace Alvarado, Van De Water, Mendez, Moutinho and Ruan.

There were bookings for Godoy and Johnston from Nashville, and Pereyra, Schlegel and Antônio Carlos, for Orlando.

Nashville will play their next game away against New York, while Orlando will face D.C. United at home.
