Montréal suffered a home defeat to Orlando City at Stade Saputo on Sunday. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Major League Soccer season, MON and Orlando are 10th (46 points) and 6th (51 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 46 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Lions who started the second half well, with Mendez giving Orlando the lead at the 55 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Daryl Dike made it 2-0 just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-0.
For MON, Quioto, Ahmed Hamdi, Kizza and Johnsen, came on for Ibrahim, Piette, Waterman and Choiniere. Orlando brought on Perea, Akindele, Schlegel, Smith and Rosell, to replace Van De Water, Daryl Dike, Pereyra, Ruan and Mendez.
The referee booked five players. Piette from MON, who saw yellow cards and Camacho, sent off with a red, as well as for Orlando Van De Water, Mendez and Júnior Urso received yellows.
