MON 2 – Red Bulls 1- Visitors unable to get win at Stade Saputo

Montréal snatched all three points from New York Red Bulls in a 2-1 victory on Sunday, at Stade Saputo. As the table looks today, MON and Red Bulls currently occupy 7th and 9th spots in the league, with 26 points and 19 points respectively after 25 matches.

Red Bulls dominated the first half, thanks to Klimala giving Metro the lead just before half-time, seeing out the first half 0-1.

MON continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ibrahim finding the net at the 71 minute mark. MON then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a penalty goal from Wanyama just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-1.

For MON, Ibrahim, Johnsen, Kizza and Piette, came on for Maciel, Choiniere, Struna and Torres. Red Bulls brought on Yearwood, Cásseres, Fernandez, Barlow and Royer, to replace John Tolkin, Nealis, Clark, Klimala and Fábio Gomez.

There were bookings for Brault-Guillard and Brault-Guillard from MON, and Tarek, Duncan, Yearwood and Carlos Miguel, for Red Bulls.
