Montréal snatched all three points from Chicago Fire in a 2-0 victory on Sunday, at Stade Saputo. Following today’s result, MON and Chicago currently occupy 5th and 12th spots in the table, with 37 points and 23 points respectively after 34 matches.
Following a goalless first half, MON piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Quioto finding the net in the 60th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Terán, at 80 minutes to make it 2-0.
For MON, Ahmed Hamdi, Maciel, Ibrahim, Lappalainen and Zouhir, came on for Piette, Mihailovic, Quioto, Torres and Bassong. Chicago brought on Medrán, Berić, Kappelhof and Collier, to replace Stojanović, Ivanov, Terán and Herbers.
