Minnesota 1 – COLO 3- Visitors ecstatic after win at Allianz Field

Minnesota on Sunday lost to Colorado Rapids on a home defeat at Allianz Field. Following today’s result, Minnesota are in 6th place on the table and has 23 points while COLO sit in 4th with 30 points after 23 matches.

Minnesota started well, with a goal from Hunou, 8 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0.

COLO continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Bassett finding the net, at 73 minutes. COLO looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Barrios in the 84th minute to establish a 2-1. COLO then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Lucas Esteves just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.

For Minnesota, Agudelo, Adi and Niko Hansen, came on for Hunou, Finlay and Fragapane. COLO brought on Mezquida, Abubakar, Bassett, Barrios and Moor for Rubio, Namli, Warner, Galván and Jonathan Lewis.

The referee booked Hunou from Minnesota. COLO had the worst of it though, with Warner seeing yellow, and Wilson then sent off with a red.

Minnesota next face Houston Dynamo and COLO are at home to Sporting Kansas City.
