Minnesota 2 – San Jose 2- Honours even and points shared at Allianz Field

Minnesota were held to 2-2 draw by San Jose down on Sunday at Allianz Field. As it stands, Minnesota are in 6th place, with 15 points from 15 matches, while San Jose sit in 11th, with 11 points from 15.

San Jose started the first half well, with Cowell giving Quakes the lead, 15 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Kallman equalised for Minnesota just before half-time and seeing the first half out 1-1.

The Loons took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Ábila at the 70 minute mark. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Benjamin Kikanovic equalised for San Jose, 82 minutes in and seeing the game end 2-2.

For Minnesota, Kallman, Ábila, j, Alonso and Gregus, came on for Boxall, Niko Hansen, Raitala, Hunou and Trapp. San Jose brought on Wondolowski, Rios, Siad Haji, Benjamin Kikanovic and Marie for Cowell, Chofis Lopez, Espinoza, Tanner Beason and Judson.

There were bookings for Dibassy and Alonso from Minnesota. For San Jose, Remedi, Espinoza and Marie saw yellow.
