Minnesota 2 – Austin 0: The Loons beat Los Verdes at Allianz Field

Minnesota United snatched all three points from Austin in a 2-0 victory on Thursday, at Allianz Field. After today’s result, Minnesota are in 8th place on the table and has 11 points while Austin sit in 11th with 8 points after 12 matches.

The Loons started the game well, thanks to Fragapane giving Minnesota the lead at the 10 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Hunou, on 18 minutes, finalising the first half 2-0. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Minnesota, Hayes, McMaster, Ábila, Alonso and Agudelo, came on for Hunou, Fragapane, Reynoso, Métanire and Niko Hansen. Austin brought on Jiménez, Stroud, Manneh, Gallagher and Kolmanic, to replace Nick Lima, Domínguez, Fagundez, Jiménez and Pochettino.

The referee booked two players from Austin, Romaña and Fagundez.
