Next Sunday at 3:30am GMT, on matchday 32 of the Major League Soccer, we will see Kansas play Chicago at Children’s Mercy Park.

This clash sees eleventh play third, as struggling Chicago visit Children’s Mercy Park to face Kansas.

Sporting Kansas City go into this game with 40 points secured

Time will tell, whether Kansas’s recent run of poor form is about to change. However Peter Vermes will be keen to turn his season around with this game, following the recent defeat to Los Angeles FC, which followed a disappointing 1-1 draw against Colorado Rapids.

Kansas keep finding ways to win, having secured 10 victories in their last 20 fixtures is astonishing this season. With third, they currently sit 40 points in the League having won 11 meetings, drawn seven games, and lost four matches.

Playing at home, Kansas have won five meetings, drawn five fixtures, and lost one game.

Sporting Kansas City will have 43 points so far this season, should they secure a win.

This season’s Major League Soccer campaign, has so far seen Chicago Fire achieve 23 points

With a win in their previous game, (0-1) against New York Red Bulls, Chicago will likely be in a positive frame of mind.

Raphael Wicky knows that a run of 10 losses in 20 fixtures for his Chicago side, is going to be a tough run of form to change. However that is exactly what he must try to deliver. Their position is eleventh in the League, and they have 23 points having won six meetings, drawn five fixtures, and lost 11 games.

It must be a worrying prospect for Chicago to go back on the road, with a bud run of away performances under their belt this season. So far they have only secured one victory and one darts to the home team.

Chicago Fire will have 26 points if they manage to secure a victory.

Also, Chicago have left Kansas with a win on twelve out of 18 fixtures. The last time both teams met in this competition was October 2020 and the score line ended up with a 2-2 draw- it’s a 64.1% likelihood that both sides will score again on Sunday.

There is a 61.73 percent probability of a Kansas win.
