As it stands, Union will go to Nippert Stadium in third place, Cin are currently in fourteenth.

A loss to New York Red Bulls home, and then Toronto FC at away is not good enough to retain a credible run of form in the Major League Soccer. Cin will see this as an opportunity to get their season back on track.

Cin need to find a way to generate wins on a consistent basis, as they’ve recorded eight losses in their last nine matches. With fourteenth, they currently sit 20 points in the League having won three meetings, drawn seven games, and lost seven fixtures.

Playing at home, Cin have won one game, drawn five meetings, and lost six matches.

A victory for Cincinnati would put them on 23 points.

This season’s Major League Soccer campaign, has so far seen Philadelphia Union achieve 42 points

Union will be buoyant, following a 3-0 home win against Columbus Crew in their last fixture.

Union keep finding ways to win, having secured three victories in their last four fixtures is astonishing this season. Their position is third in the League, and they have 42 points having won seven meetings, drawn seven matches, and lost five fixtures.

Union now travel, knowing that their current away form is woeful. So far this season they have won two matches, drawn six meetings, and lost four games matches on the road.

A win in this fixture would take Philadelphia Union’s points to 45 in the League.

The two clubs have already played each other four times with the result being three wins and one draw for Cin. Also, Union have won all two matches played at Nippert Stadium against Cin. The last time they played each other in this competition Philadelphia Union secured a 3-0 home win.
