Los Angeles 3 – RSL 2: The Black and Gold deliver decisive win at Banc of California Stadium

Real Salt Lake on away loss to Los Angeles at Banc of California Stadium on Monday. As it stands, both teams are on 30 points and occupy 8th and 7th places respectively after 32 matches.

Los Angeles started the first half well, thanks to an early goal from Arango in the 1st minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Kreilach managed to equalize and take the sides off, 28 minutes in at 1-1. However, The Black and Gold at the 30 minute mark reestablished their lead via another Arango goal, finishing the first half 2-1.

RSL started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Julio in the 48th minute. Los Angeles managed to edge ahead with a goal from Datković, 59 minutes in and seeing the game end 3-2.

For Los Angeles, Palacios, Kim Moon-Hwan, Cifuentes, Farfan and Crisostomo, came on for Edwards, Blessing, Bryce Duke, Danny Musovski and Arango. RSL brought on Menéndez, Méndez, Meram and Ruiz, to replace Chang, Toia, Nick Besler and Julio.

There were bookings for Edwards, Bryce Duke and Ibeagha from Los Angeles. For RSL, Datković and Everton saw yellow.

RSL and Los Angeles will next play away to San Jose and Austin respectively.
