Los Angeles FC beat Real Salt Lake with a thumping 2-1 victory on Sunday at Banc of California Stadium. As the table looks today, Los Angeles and RSL currently occupy 5th and 6th spots in the league, with 21 points and 16 points respectively after 18 matches.

Los Angeles dominated the first half, thanks to Rossi finding the net at the 10 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Herrera equalised for Claret and Cobalt in the 18th minute to see out the first half 1-1.

The Black and Gold continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Vela, 79 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Los Angeles, Palacios, Bryce Duke and Baird, came on for Edwards, Blessing and Rossi, RSL brought on Nick Besler, Wood and Julio, to replace Ruiz, Kreilach and Meram.

There were bookings for Murillo from Los Angeles, and Everton, Kreilach, Herrera and Nick Besler, for RSL.

Next up, Los Angeles are away to Portland Timbers, whilst RSL will travel to face LA Galaxy.
