Colorado Rapids fell to an away defeat at the hands of Los Angeles FC at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday. As the table looks today, Los Angeles and COLO currently occupy 9th and 5th spots in the league, with 8 points and 10 points respectively after 9 matches.

The first half of the game started favourably for Los Angeles, thanks to Rossi giving The Black and Gold the lead, 15 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Rossi, on 33 minutes. The score at half time was 2-0.

COLO fought back, with an early goal from Barrios in the 50th minute. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for Los Angeles.

For Los Angeles, Danny Musovski, Blessing, Moon Hwan Kim and Farfan, came on for Vela, Baird, Cifuentes and Palacios. COLO replaced Jonathan Lewis, Shinyashiki and Benezet with Barrios, Abubakar and Bassett.

There were bookings for Cifuentes from Los Angeles. For COLO, Jonathan Lewis saw yellow.

COLO and Los Angeles will next play at home to FC Dallas and New York respectively.
