Los Angeles took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Baird at the 56 minute mark. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Medina in the 70th minute brought NYC level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Ismael Tajouri just before the final whistle to make it 2-1.

For Los Angeles, Blessing, Edwards and Danny Musovski, came on for Cifuentes, Baird and Atuesta. NYC brought on Morales, Tinnerholm, Talles Magno, Ismael Tajouri and Ibeagha for Chanot, Andres Jasson, Parks, Moralez and Talles Magno.

The referee booked Atuesta from Los Angeles. NYC had the worst of it though, with Medina seeing yellow, and Acevedo then sent off with a red.
