Galaxy were held to 1-1 draw by Houston down on Thursday at StubHub Center. After today’s result, Galaxy and Houston currently occupy 4th and 12th spots in the league, with 38 points and 23 points respectively after 33 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Houston, with a goal from Picault, 13 minutes in to see out the first half 0-1.
Galaxy took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Chicharito at the 61 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-1.
For Galaxy, Joveljic, Lletget, Cabral and Klještan, came on for Alvarez, Víctor Vázquez, Grandsir and Dos Santos. Houston brought on Cerén, Lassiter, Boniek García, Figueroa and Memo Rodríguez, to replace Corona, Maxi Urruti, Vera, Hadebe and Quintero.
There were bookings for Dos Santos from Galaxy. For Houston, Vera, Cerén, Valentin, Quintero and Boniek García saw yellow.
Galaxy will next travel to Minnesota United, while Houston will face FC Dallas at home.
