New York defeat Inter Miami 3-1 on Saturday at Inter Miami CF Stadium. Following today’s result, Inter are in 11th place, with 38 points from 44 matches, while NYC sit in 3rd, with 50 points from 44.
NYC started the game well, thanks to Castellanos finding the net, 33 minutes in. The score at half time was 0-1.
The Herons took the initiative in the second half, with Figal finding the net at the 56 minute mark. However, each side looked hungry to win and NYC then found the back of the net in the 60th minute thanks to Castellanos, taking the score to 2-1. The Pigeons then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Talles Magno after 83 minutes to make it 3-1.
For Inter, McCarthy, Robinson, Pizarro, Chapman and Leerdam, came on for Marsman, Morgan, Higuaín, Matuidi and Vassilev. NYC brought on Gray, Talles Magno, Heber and Zelalem, to replace Rodríguez, Morales, Castellanos and Parks.
