Houston 1 – Minnesota 2- The Loons get valuable away win at BBVA Compass Stadium

Minnesota United beats Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Sunday at BBVA Compass Stadium. After today’s result, Houston and Minnesota currently occupy 13th and 5th spots in the table, with 19 points and 31 points respectively after 29 matches.

Houston started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Carrasquilla in the 1st minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Hunou equalised for Minnesota, 16 minutes in, finalising the first half 1-1.

The Loons continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Hunou finding the net again in the 73rd minute. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 2-1 to Minnesota.

For Houston, Boniek García, Lassiter, Pasher, Memo Rodríguez and Corona, came on for Cerén, Carrasquilla, Dorsey, Lundqvist and Vera. Minnesota replaced Adi and Raitala with Hayes and Hunou.

The referee booked Dorsey, Hadebe and Valentin for Houston.
