Sporting Kansas City eased past FC Dallas in a 3-1 victory on Thursday at Toyota Stadium. After today’s result, Dallas and Kansas currently occupy 11th and 1st spots in the league, with 27 points and 49 points respectively after 36 matches.
Wizards started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Salloi at the 13 minute mark, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.
Kansas started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with Russell finding the net, 53 minutes in. Kansas looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a second effort from Salloi, 61 minutes in to establish a 3-0. In the end though, Dallas, 68 minutes in hit back though following a Pepi goal and seeing the game end 3-1.
For Dallas, Schön, Cerrillo, Servania, Eddie Munjoma and Pomykal, came on for Burgess, Quignon, Obrián, Jesús Ferreira and Hollingshead. Kansas replaced Shelton, Salloi and Kinda for Barber, Pulido and Espinoza.
The referee booked Eddie Munjoma from Dallas and Acosta went off with a red card, while Kansas’ Barber also received a yellow.
