Dallas 2 – Austin 1- Home fans rewarded with victory at Toyota Stadium

Austin fell to an away defeat at the hands of FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on Sunday. Following today’s result, Dallas are currently 11th with 32 points from 44 matches, while Austin sit in 13th, with 28 points from 44.

Los Verdes started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Fagundez giving Austin the lead in the 36th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Jesús Ferreira equalised for Dallas at the 38 minute mark, finalising the first half 1-1.

Dallas continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jara at the 80 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Both managers used all available substitutions. For Dallas, Schön, Jara and Che, came on for Pomykal, Servania and Pepi, Austin brought on Kolmanic, Pochettino and Gaines to replace Djitte, Domínguez and Cascante.

The referee booked Twumasi and Cerrillo from Dallas. Austin had the worst of it though, with Romaña, Stuver and Fagundez seeing yellow, and Jiménez then sent off with a red.
